Mirror an image for iron-on, HTV or sublimation transfer

Flip a design horizontally before printing it on iron-on transfer paper, heat transfer vinyl (HTV) or sublimation paper, so text reads correctly on the T-shirt, mug or tote. Your image stays on your device.

FAQ

Why do transfers need a mirrored image?

Transfer paper, HTV and sublimation prints are pressed face down, which reverses the design. Mirroring first makes text and logos read the right way on the finished shirt or mug.

Which settings should I use?

The page opens with a horizontal flip already applied. Download it and print at 100% scale. PNG designs keep their transparent background; photos save as high-quality JPG.

Does mirroring lower print quality?

No. The pixel dimensions stay the same and nothing is resized. For sharp prints, start from a design of about 300 DPI at the final print size.
